Father's Day 2008

On Father's Day Mikara and I rode along with Gordon for 9 holes of golf. Mikara had a great time and Gordon really loved having us there.

Memorial Day Cookout

For Memorial Day Mikara, Gordon and I went to my moms house for a cookout. Mikara loved playing in the pool and then took a nice nap in the afternoon. This was really her first cookout where she could play. Last year this time she was an infant. The guys played golf and the girls hung by the pool and then we all cooked out. After dinner we played in the pool some more and then my mom made everyone sundae's. It was a really nice day. Her are some pics.

Cute Pictures from May

This month Mikara turned 13 months.

-As always she loves other children. We go to a weekly playgroup and she really enjoys that.
-We also go to Gymboree on Friday and in June will be starting swim lessons.
-Her favorite food right now is macoroni and cheese. She also really loves brocolli.
-She has been off of the bottle since a week after her 1st birtday and is doing well on milk. She doesn't always seem to like it but she does ok. She loves to drink Juicy Juice.
-Her favorite toys right now are her books (as always) but she also loves her pound puppy and her baby doll.
-She really loves to play outside with bubbles.
-She loves to be chased, if we say "I'm gonna get you" she takes off running and laughing.
-She says: mama (finally), dada, hi, there, again but talks "Mikara talk" all day long
-She can sign: more, and eat
-She can play peek a boo, find her belly, nose, eye and mouth.
She is just growing so fast and we love her more and more each day.
