Christmas Day 2007

Christmas 2007 was great! Mikara did so well opening and playing with her presents. She loved the wrapping paper and boxes. It was our best Christmas ever. I thought I was going to have to cancel Christmas Day because I woke up sick and couldn't get off the couch....but Gordon, my mom and Mike cooked and cleaned up dinner. I did have Mikara red Christmas PJs but she grew out of it by Christmas Eve and I couldn't find anymore in her size. We also thought she would be more comfy on Christmas Day in her pjs since we were just staying home. She got dressed up in her pretty Christmas dress about 4 or 5 times for parties and pictures before Christmas.

Mikara is 8 Months Old

Mikara turned 8 months old on Dec 17th. It seems like that day she is doing so much! On that day she got her 2nd tooth, now she can pull up on everything, crawl, hold onto the couch and walk along it, eats table food and loves it, holds her own bottle, plays an echo game with me, plays with her toys even more, and sits facing front in her car seat. This all happened within a week! She is so much fun! She loves brocilli, cauliflower, corn, carrots, potatos, turkey, ham, and just about everything she eats!

Our Annual Baltimore Christmas Trip!

Every year since we moved to Florida we return to MD for a Christmas weekend. Mikara was great on the airplane. See the video below....it is pretty funny. She is watching Dora on the plane and is SOOOO Excited!!!!

Some Funny Pictures of Mikara and the Christmas Tree

Mikara LOVES to play with the presents under the tree. She loves to grab the boxes and hit them. She also tears the bows off and tries to tear them open. Here are a few funny pics.

She loves to take the elves from the ladder. She looks like "ah ha I got it!"

She loves to get under the tree and play with the presents, I usually have to block the tree with her playpen to keep her from the gifts but sometimes she finds her way around it.

My 30th Birthday!

I turned 30 on December 3rd and I had a very nice birthday. I got lots of birthday wishes and even flowers from my sister! My mom and I celebrated our birthdays together(hers in 3 days before mine) with a nice lunch and gifts on Saturday and did some Christmas shopping. Then Monday Gordon took me out to dinner to my new favorite restaurant Brio! I got crab cakes of course! Here are a few pics from the night!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!

We are starting a new family tradition....each year as our family grows we are going to take a Christmas Pajama Picture. It will be fun to look back at the pictures to see all the changes. Mikara's First Thanksgiving

It was Mikara's first Thanksgiving! She watched the parade in the morning with me and loved the singing and dancing. She also LOVED seeing the Dora balloon. She sat at the table with us but wasn't interested in tasting anything. Below are a few pictures from the day and one of Mikara all tuckered out by the end of the day.

Mikara is 7 months old!!

Pretty Little Baby Girl on her 7 month birthday

I know I say this every month but I can't believe Mikara is 7 months old!! She is growing so fast. She is cutting her first tooth and doing very well with it. She gets a little fussy from time to time but overall she is doing good with it. She has started to eat the first level of Graduates food and she is drinking from a sippy cup. She LOVES purple gatorade! She gets around the house on her stomach and pushes with her feet and pulls with her hands, but not crawling yet. It seems like it could be any day now. Her hair is filling in nicely. I had to trim her bangs 2X now. Her new thing is blowing air out of her nose and squeezing her nose and lips together (it is so funny!), screaming as loud as she can just to see how loud she can scream, blows bubbles, talks all the time...still only saying dada and all the other baby talk. She also still LOVES Dora the Explorer. If she sees Dora on TV or something of Dora in the store she waves her arms really hard and smiles really big with her mouth all the way open and squeals! It is so cute. At Toys R Us they have a 4 foot Dora doll that talks and she was just amazed with that! She is a little angel everyday. She plays by herself so well, loves to go out and is always so good.
